چکیده
A stochastic gravitational-wave (GW) background consists of a large number weak, independent and uncorrelated events astrophysical or cosmological origin. The GW power on the sky is assumed to contain anisotropies top an isotropic component, i.e., angular monopole. Complementary LIGO--Virgo--KAGRA (LVK) searches, we develop efficient analysis pipeline compute maximum-likelihood anisotropic maps in backgrounds directly pixel domain using data folded over one sidereal day. We invert full pixel-pixel correlation matrix map-making sky, up optimal eigenmode cutoff decided systematically simulations. In addition modeled mapping, implement model-independent method probe spectral shapes backgrounds. Using from LIGO--Virgo's first three observing runs, obtain upper limits as well monopole limiting case, consistent with LVK results. also set constraints shape this novel method.

Search for gravitational waves from Scorpius X-1 in the first Advanced LIGO observing run with a hidden Markov model
Results are presented from a semicoherent search for continuous gravitational waves from the brightest low-mass X-ray binary, Scorpius X-1, using data collected during the first Advanced LIGO observing run. The search combines a frequency domain matched filter (Bessel-weighted F -statistic) with a hidden Markov model to track wandering of the neutron star spin frequency. No evidence of gravitat...
متن کاملFirst joint search for gravitational-wave bursts in LIGO and GEO 600 data
We present the results of the first joint search for gravitational-wave bursts by the LIGO and GEO 600 detectors. We search for bursts with characteristic central frequencies in the band 768–2048 Hz in the data acquired between 22 February and 23 March, 2005 (fourth LSC Science Run–S4). We discuss the inclusion of the GEO 600 data in the Waveburst–CorrPower pipeline that first searches for coin...
متن کاملA family of filters to search for frequency dependent gravitational wave stochastic backgrounds
We consider a three dimensional family of filters based on broken power-law spectra to search for gravitational wave stochastic backgrounds in the data from Earth-based laser interferometers. We show that such templates produce the necessary fitting factor for a wide class of cosmological backgrounds and astrophysical foregrounds and that the total number of filters required to search for those...
متن کاملAll-sky search for short gravitational-wave bursts in the first Advanced LIGO run
We present the results from an all-sky search for short-duration gravitational waves in the data of the first run of the Advanced LIGO detectors between September 2015 and January 2016. The search algorithms use minimal assumptions on the signal morphology, so they are sensitive to a wide range of sources emitting gravitational waves. The analyses target transient signals with duration ranging ...
